Less Container Load (LCL) consolidation is a shipping method where cargo from multiple shippers is combined into a single shipping container.
Here’s how it works:
If your shipment is too small to fill an entire container, instead of paying for a full container, your goods are consolidated with other shipments headed to the same destination.
A freight forwarder or consolidator groups these smaller shipments together.
Once the container arrives at its destination port, the shipments are separated (deconsolidated) and delivered to their respective consignees.
